A rock solid, affordable vintage bass for those seeking a bass with grind and percussiveness.
Following Micro-Frets founder, Ralph Jones, passing away in 1972, Hazel Jones continued operation of the company with production manager Gary Free designing the new Husky bass and Swinger guitars until the company ceased in 1975.
A departure from earlier designs, the Husky is an asymmetrical design with an elongated lower horn to allow the neck to stay in an upright position when worn with a strap or seated thus allowing an incredibly easy playing experience with all weight removed from the fretting hand.
Featuring the 36pc Micro-Nut, perfect intonation across strings and alternate tunings was easily achieved and allowed the Micro-Frets company to forge their own legacy ahead of the many later contemporaries.
Completely original and set up in-house, this bass will be an excellent addition to your staple of instruments.
